Update! 

I am a working woman!

For those of you who haven't been in the loop (ie those of you who have been living under a rock!) I GOT A JOB! I'll be working at 3 different schools teaching music for grades 4-9 :)

Needless to say, I'm very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, excited! That, and scared shitless.

Mom and dad are here with me for the week to help me get set up (work out drivers license/health care, get a car, secure apartment info, etc).  We flew in today, after some very close calls and almost-missed flights, exhausted but excited. 

Things I've learned about Grande Prairie:

1) They don't call it "Big Prairie" for anything. It's flat here. Reallll flat.

2) There's a place called Solo Liquor, and it's the cheapest place to buy alcohol in town. AND, it's open til 2am. Win? I think so.

3) Every other vehicle is a truck. No joke. 

4) Sideways traffic lights make me nervous. I was taking a car for a test drive today and was surprised at how much it tripped me out! 

I'm sure the list will be ever-growing. But after only 3 hours, that's what I've learned!
