NO FREAKIN' WAY

Just yesterday I was complaining about the horrible seagulls in Aberdeen, and today I have MORE PROOF at their maliciousness!

I was walking with Mia around lunchtime today, we were both on the way to class, and she stopped at the campus bakery to grab a ham sandwich. We were walking in front of King's College along the short wall, and she opens it up and takes a bite or two. Then she needed to do up her coat or fix her scarf or something, so she asked me to hold her food, which I did. There were two evil-looking seagulls standing on the short wall, each about equidistant from me. I'll try to draw you a diagram here:

So I'm standing there, looking at these 2 seagulls, and they're both staring at me holding this sandwich...so I tell Mia "They are eying your food...I'm scared. I'M SCARED!" Then she says "don't worry, they won't attack you" but they're slowly walking towards me, and I can see them staring. I think they could smell my fear. Anyway, so Mia finishes doing whatever it was she was doing, and I give her back her sandwich, and we continue walking in the direction of the arrow in the diagram. 

THEN, OUT OF NOWHERE, NASTY SEAGULL #1 SWOOPS DOWN BETWEEN US, HITS US WITH ITS FLAPPING WINGS, AND NABS THE SANDWICH FROM HER HAND AND FLYS IT TO THE GROUND!!! THEN ABOUT 5 OTHER BIRDS FLY FROM ALL AROUND AND THEY SWARM IT, TEARING IT TO SHREDS AND DEVOURING IT IN ABOUT 5 SECONDS!!!!!

How RUDE!!!! We were so so so shocked and we were screaming and laughing and crying and screaming some more and running in circles trying to avoid all the incoming birds. It was chaos, I tell you, complete and utter chaos.

There was this couple walking towards us that saw the whole thing and were smirking at us...I bet that this story got told tonight at one of their dinner tables...

How gross/disgusting/I WAS SO SCARED.

I wasn't kidding when I told you they were malicious. They have probably been planning this attack for a while. They probably have meetings they go to and plan out which one is the swooper, which one is the starer and which ones get to watch and then fly in to enjoy the goods. Those bastards.

That was basically a brand new sandwich, too.

Anyway, much to do for the end of this week, so I get going if I have any chance of finishing it before the Russia-Canada hockey game comes on at 12:30!!!
