Pictures! Pictures!! PICTURES!!!

As you can see from my creative title, this blog is dedicated to catching you up on my past blogs through pictures...now that I have my camera cord! Of all the things to forget, my camera charger and cord were probably in the top 10, after my passport and other documentation, clean underwear and money. Anyway, I have it now, and I'll explain what they all are! I am planning on going around campus to take more pictures of the buildings that I go to and the pretty places, but I want to do that on a nice (or at least DECENT day...and lately its been dreary and grey and gloomy!) So I PROMISE, once I see some nice days, I will take some more pictures of campus! For now, here's what I have! These are mid-packing...trying to fit EVERYTHING I'd need into those two suitcases was so hard! Well, I suppose it ended up being 3 suitcases....plus a carry-on....plus my trombone. Thank God my parents traveled with me to check some of my baggage as theirs! :) These were during Scottish Culture Day at the University...that's from the blog when I talked about seeing the Scottish dancers (above) and trying haggis (below). Next is the, erm... beautiful view out of my window at my res. Taking on a day when the sun was shining! Annnnd, Julia, a close friend of mine here! My parents so lovingly sent me a package that I received today, which included some fun things like a rubber chicken, a mini Canadian flag, and these here glasses :) And here are some pictures of campus...when I say "pictures of campus", I mean mostly pictures of Old King's on Main Campus, where the university chapel is housed, among other classrooms. The university (here, people just say 'uni') was originally a school of just theology, so it's a historic part of the place for sure! I don't know if I mentioned, but it was founded in 1495!! UNREAL. That means this year is the 514th anniversary. I thought Queen's was old....Fun fact: To get married in the chapel, you have to be University of Aberdeen alumni. And if you want to get married on a weekend, the waiting list is FIVE YEARS. Anyway, enough for the history lesson, here's a few photos! These next few are with girls from my floor, at a jazz night at Tiki Cafe and getting ready to go out one night (well, a few of us!) Hope you enjoyed! 2 notes: first of all, I'm sorry that I don't have many pictures of myself...but it's hard when I mostly like to take pictures when I'm wandering around by myself...and I suck at "selfies". The few that I did put up were from other people's cameras....So anyway, I'll try to ask friends to take more pictures of me, or ask random people to take pictures of me and friends. But until then, these will have to satisfy your craving. Secondly, I'm in the photography society now, even though I (clearly) know nothing about photography at all...haha! I decided to join so that a) I can learn more about photography, because it DOES interest me, I just know nothing about it. And b) because they go to all these beautiful places to take pictures of, which is AMAZING. We're going to Stonehaven soon, so hopefully I'll get some good shots to show you! :) Cheers, Beckers P.S. I will update soon about my perpetually uncooperative timetabling issues, funny stories, and THANKSGIVING!!!
