And the yogurt says...

It finally hit me this morning that I'm leaving REALLY SOON! You know what made it click? I was eating my yogurt, and as I peeled off the lid, I realised that it expired on September 19th. "I'LL BE IN SCOTLAND BY THE TIME THIS YOGURT EXPIRES!!!" I thought to myself. That means it's freakin' SOON! Fabbity-fab-FAB!! Today was a big day in the Becky-goes-to-Scotland adventure. I finally got my paw on my student visa!! woot woooooot!!! Now I'm looking into flights for sometime in the middle of next month. Cheap flights. Hard to find, though, really. My parents decided that they want to come over with me, for the twofold reason of 1) making sure I "get settled in okay" ... although, I reassured them I would be fine. I've traveled alone before, I've traveled with people other than my parents, and the university has a lot of options available, of course, to help with getting used to my new home; and 2) using it as an excuse for a vacation in Haggisland. Good idea, if you ask me! Might as well take advantage of the opportunity if you can, right? Another thing, (my mother almost fainted when I told her), I went shopping this weekend, and almost spent $300!! And to boot, I went shopping BY MYSELF! I think everything I bought was on sale, and I was just in the mood to shop. I know, I know. I know what you're thinking (or at least, what I was thinking when I reflected upon my oh-so-unpredictable actions) WHAT IS GOING ON?!?! Is the world coming to an end? Luckily, it's not. The sun will rise, the world will keep turning, dinosaurs will remain distinct (at least for now, according to the latest edition of MacLean's) and, most certainly, I'M GOING TO SCOTLAND!!!!!
