I finally got around to making a blog. Although, I don't know why I used the word "finally". I still have a long ways to go; things to see, people to meet, cultures to experience, and memories to make. This is a good point to start at. I started my journey about a year ago. Almost exactly a year ago, actually. I decided during the summer of 2008 that I wanted to do something exciting with my undergrad, something that would help me to grow, learn, gain independence and branch out to the wonderful world that surrounds me. I wanted to travel. Where to, though? I thought about Australia for a long time. Actually, to tell the truth, I was very much set on Australia. I've wanted to go there since I was a little girl...but as fate would have it, Australia wasn't meant for me. At least not this time. There weren't any opportunities to earn equivalent credits in many of the schools there, and for the schools that did offer equivalent courses, there was only academic exchanges available for one term. I still applied, hoping to get my chance to go down under, but I really wanted to go for a full year. As it turns out, I ended up with another offer. In about 4 months, I'm off to Scotland. And I couldn't be more excited. This blog will take you through my life up until and continuing on during my life in Scotland. I'll tell you what I'm thinking about, what's happening, and anything else important. Hopefully I'll figure out how to upload pictures, videos, and all that other fun stuff, too :) Thanks for reading, Beckers
